The current U.S. administration is embarking on a familiar path followed by several previous administrations—attempting to bring genuine peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. It's a joint effort, involving many nations. Dubbed the "road map" to peace, will this succeed where numerous previous attempts failed? Bible prophecy gives us a different kind of road map to help us sort out these events.

Superstates have existed in various forms through the ages, but not in the way they are forming today. Many world leaders are planning on creating a system that will exercise hegemony over the whole world. Their plans will eventually lead to a beast system that will rule over the earth. But then a superstate will come on the scene and usher in the true Millennium.

God places great and grave responsibility on the shoulders of the leadership. We must all share the responsibility for the condition of the world, our nation, our church, our families.

What long-term effects will come from the unsettling events so far in 2003? No human being knows for sure. But we can observe, analyze and learn from the storm clouds gathering on the horizon.
