Two days ago we pondered the Proclamation of Proclamations recorded in the Revelation of Jesus Christ: “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and forever”” (Revelation 11:15). Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4).

“O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” Paul wrote to the Corinthian brethren in the first century church. Finding victory in the grave appears improbable when this statement is viewed in isolation. The sting of death has left people smarting with pain every generation since God banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden after they disregarded His command to take from the Tree of Life.
