“Nanna, did Adam and Eve have children?” we hear you ask.

Well, yes they did, our child, and two of their children, were called Cain and Abel. (Genesis 4:1-2)

Do you know why so many people are unhappy, our child? (Psalm 32:10)

Well the answer to that question, and how we can be different, and be happy, is in this part of our Bible Story.

Do you remember what Grandad and Nanna wrote to you in Chapter 1?

Remember how we learned that Lucifer came to be filled with pride about himself, and he became the enemy of God, so his name was changed to Satan? (Isaiah 14:13-14)

Well, not only did he get the name Satan, but he was also called by God, the Dragon, and the Devil. (Revelation 12:9)

Satan’s fellow bad angels were called demons because they were against God.

As Grandad and Nanna were saying, God our Father and Jesus Christ the Son of God, had no beginning because they have always been, and they have no end, because they cannot die, unless they choose to change into a human person, as Jesus did. (John 1:14)

These two great beings as Father and Son are both God.  But Jesus said that His Father was greater than Him. (John 14:28

God our Father and God His son Jesus Christ are a family and they love you and want you to grow up in their family as well. They are the God Family. (Ephesians 3:14-15)

That is why Grandad and Nanna are writing to you the story of the Bible, which is God’s story of how we can be in God’s family, forever.

God our Father and Jesus His Son, were together from eternity and were there together, when they began to make everything. (John 1:1-3, John 1:12-14)  Then you came along in God’s good time for you to be alive.

From visiting tours into India and recently in Sri Lanka with my wife Ruth, we are finding increasing numbers of people feel spiritually starved by the false religions and philosophies of this world, ruled by an indifferent and hate-filled Satan  (2 Corinthians 4:4).

They are keen to "seek God while He may be found" (Isaiah 55:6-7).

One lady with many difficult trials, who is keenly seeking God, said to me recently on our visit to Sri Lanka: "I find it hard to pray. I want to seek God, but how can I overcome and find it easier to pray?"

Even as a child, many Christians have recited the 3rd Commandment of God’s 10 Commandments, off by heart. But, are you sure you really know the 3rd Commandment?

Here's an update from my current visiting tour in Colombo, where I am now writing this from beside the Indian ocean.

It's Tuesday morning now, after our first Monday night Good News  meeting at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was a great success thanks to God's blessing.

Interestingly enough, Mr. Herbert Armstrong stayed in this Galadari Hotel when he visited the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka in 1983.

What is the meaning of Luke 16:16?

Some people who believe that we don’t need to keep God’s law, or God's Sabbath or Holy Days today, cite Luke 16:16:  "The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it."

Is Jesus saying in this verse that God’s law was required to be kept and the prophets respected until John the Baptist, but now the law has perished or failed, and is no longer necessary to keep?

Moves are now advancing in the Middle East for the recent Arab Customs Union to come into full force on January 1, 2015. The establishment of the Union is planned to precede an Arab Common Market by 2020 just like the European Common Market. What impacts will this have on your life, as this “King of the South” comes to fruition?

In a world of so many divergent religions and philosophies …do you find yourself asking (as I did when I was a young boy) …“is there a true God?”

For years that question plagued me. In fact it was a question that I used, to plague some of my school teachers and religious instruction teachers.

They frustrated me with answers …such as “Oh well, the answer to that question is just a matter of faith.”

How has this question rested with you? Have you found a satisfactory answer to it, yet?

Recently, travelling to India to visit brethren and speaking to groups of people wanting to learn more biblical truth, I was asked by a man, “Is there a curse on generations of children for their parents sins?”

“Osama bin Laden is dead!” While Americans spontaneously burst onto the streets of Washington, in triumphalism, chanting: “USA! USA! USA!” ...the silence in some other parts of the world was deafening.

Media depicting the exuberance of Americans, expressing their relief that 54 year old Bin Laden, who had a US$50 million reward on his head, was now dead and buried at sea, left many Muslims around the world in a state of bewildered wonderment.
