You're probably familiar with the Russian nesting doll or Matryoshka doll. There is a set of human figurines, one inside another. They are identical in appearance and form, with the exception of size.

Now there's interesting analogy—the Russian dolls should represent your goal in life. You're to spiritually grow to resemble Christ. To be like Christ in everything we think, say and do.

The Apostle Paul taught the same concept in Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me".

Jesus expressed the same thought to us in some of his last words: "that they may all be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us... I in them, and You in me; that they may be made perfect in one" (John 17:21-23).

So take on the "Russian doll" likeness of Jesus Christ. Not just on the outside, but most importantly, on the inside. Make it your lifelong mission: to become like Him in selflessness, honesty, in patience, in service and in love.

Put aside your attitude and perspective and open up a deeper spiritual level. Take on His godly character and reveal it in every aspect of your life.
