Does Copernicus discovery have anything to do with your perspective?

Transcript

[Steve Myers] Copernicus discovered that the earth is not flat and that it is not the center of the universe. His writings went against everything the Catholic Church taught about the earth, and especially that man wasn't the center of everything. And so it changed what people understood. Now today, everybody believes his ideas – they take it for granted. But what about you, and the personal connection with that idea?

Do you act like you're the center of the universe? Do you think everything revolves around you?

Scripture found in Mark 8:34 says, "Whoever desires to come after Me" – that's Jesus talking – "let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it."

You see, Christ said our lives must revolve around the real light, the true center of the world, Jesus Christ. And so that means, every day in our life, we have to make the choice to focus our life on God, because He is the true center of the universe.

That's BT Daily. We'll see you next time.
