[Darris McNeely] Welcome to BT Daily, I’m Darris McNeely, this is Steve Myers. We’re both presenters on Beyond Today Television along with Gary Petty. This is Beyond Today Daily, or BT Daily, our first effort to start a daily conversation with you, the audience and viewer of Beyond Today. It’s going to appear on a regular basis on our UCG.org website. It’s an effort to start a conversation and to bring you behind the scenes and into a deeper relationship with the process that is behind the Beyond Today program and the topics that we cover.

[Steve Myers] Yeah, it’s impossible to cover everything on Beyond Today and we want to really get down to daily life. Why is God’s word important for you? How does it apply? Is it relevant? So we’re going to look at news events. We’re going to look at different topics whether it’s marriage, whether it’s family, whether it’s schooling, whether it’s education, whatever it may be—politics. How does it apply? What is it and how is it relevant to the message of Jesus Christ.

[Darris McNeely] Which is the gospel of the Kingdom of God. That was Christ’s message. That is the basic theme underlying every program on Beyond Today. When Jesus Christ came preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God, it was on His lips wherever He went. Every conversation that He had with anyone, as we read through the gospel accounts, He’s zeroed in on the message of the Kingdom of God—and that’s what we want to bring into these commentaries with our audience that very same urgency and relevancy of the message of the Kingdom of God for a daily, successful, happy life for you.

[Steve Myers] Yeah, Christ came that we could have life and we could have it abundantly. So we want to talk about that. We want to see how that relates every single day.

[Darris McNeely] I think one of the key scriptures that will be with us as we go through these commentaries is Ezekiel 33:11 where it says, God says, that I don’t wish that anyone dies, but that you might turn and live—as He was speaking to Israel. God’s purpose is that we live life abundantly, successfully and happily along the principles of the Kingdom of God that are accessible today. And I think that’s what you’re going to find as you watch us here on BT Daily on a regular basis. So, that’s it. Steve? We’ll see you next time. Thanks for joining us, that’s BT Daily.
