Encouragement given at the right time, acting to rescue a person in need, a moment when opportunity knocks or arriving exactly on time when there is a need. The beauty of such a moment comes when the person who knows how to watch and wait, also knows how to work and stand. A presence is only of value if the person is able to fulfill the immediate need, to seize the passing moment when the time is "now."

Peter said to be ready always to give an answer (1 Peter 3:15). Sometimes the moment is not planned by us, but is foreseen by God. Readiness is something that must be present when the moment is there. Queen Esther was a good example of one who was prepared by God for the moment her people needed the help that only she could give the most. She had all the tools needed to intervene, and everything was in place for the moment to arrive (Esther 4:14). We can be alert to needs and continue our growth of preparation to serve when and if needed.
