Today is another good day here. I am fasting today, not to say for show, but that is just what I am doing today and I am writing about my thoughts and what is going on with me this week that's leading up to Passover.

I've had my optimal seven hours sleep last night and I feel refreshed! This morning, I did a little grocery shopping. When I came out of the store, it was snowing! Cold and snow are not really things I am fond of! I emailed my father a sequence of events that will take place during the spring Holy Days, because this is my father's first year of keeping the spring Holy Days. Then I called him and after my father and I had talked on the phone and did some Bible study together, I looked outside and the sun is out and the snow is gone. Yes, it's going to be a great day!

The household chores are basically done. I plan on making my grocery list for things that I still need to buy for the meal we will share with others on the first evening of the Days of Unleavened Bread. But most of my afternoon will be for prayer and more Bible study. I am afforded this luxury of time for these things because I do not have small children growing up in my home anymore at this step in my life.

I recently listened to some women's panel discussions, and I was impressed by the courage and honesty of some of the younger women speaking on how hard it is to find time to pray and study alone. How well I remember those days! But never give up. God knows just what we need and at various times in our lives, things change and God fills other parts of our lives. I look at parents with younger children and I think about how much I hope they enjoy it because those precious golden times with your children go by all too fast. Those times were happy for me, even when I didn't recognize it all. And these times for me now are happy too.

I think our Heavenly Father might have some of the same feelings of joy as He raises us too. I know I often think of my failings and how I've disappointed God. Now is a time to rightly examine ourselves before we partake of the Passover. I think God is far more happy than we realize sometimes, that we are here and we are partaking of His Passover. I know I am happy as I scan over my sisters in Christ while we are standing in line to participate in the foot-washing ceremony.

Oh, I am looking foward to these Holy Days! There is so much to think about what God has done for us. It is so good to exit winter and enter a renewing time of year!
