Jesus was sent from the Father and returned to Him, where He now sits in glory and majesty.
The preexistent Word, who later became Christ, was sent to earth by the Father in heaven. The Gospel of John bears record to this truth many times. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work" (John 4:34Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

But where did Christ come from? The book of John also makes this abundantly clear: "No one has ascended to heaven but He [ Christ ] who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man" (John 3:13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Thus, Jesus was sent from the Father and returned to Him, where He now sits in glory and majesty (Hebrews 8:1Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
