Personal Appearance

"For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart" (2 Samuel 16:7).

Human beings are incapable of seeing into someone else's heart. Unlike God, we can only reach conclusions based on experiences—what we see, what we hear, and so on. Because of this shortcoming, we must be careful in evaluating what our personal appearance (how we dress and how we act) says to others about ourselves.
