2015 Feast of Tabernacles Report

Sevierville, Tennessee, United States

The United Church of God Feast site in Sevierville, Tennessee, was beautiful. The meeting facility is basically new and was very comfortable. The other meeting rooms were convenient. We ended up with over 100 more than registered and had to scramble to find overflow space. Although our attendance stayed strong the entire Feast, the highest attendance was 783 on the Sabbath. This was the same day that we had the webcast from Sevierville. From all reports the webcast went off without any problems.

The messages were inspiring and uplifting. While they focused on the meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles and the Eighth Day, the information was helpful for our present development as Christians, not just for the roles we will have in the Kingdom. The theme in Sevierville this year was “righteousness,” and special music was outstanding.

The brethren were a total delight—friendly and helpful. There was a palpable positive energy in the congregation all eight days. Those who served did a magnificent job and did their jobs with smiles and joy. We are grateful to all who helped set up before the Feast began, those who served during the Feast and as well those who helped take down after the Feast ended.

All in all, the Feast in Sevierville this year seemed to capture the essence of what the Feast represents: peace, harmony, generosity, good fellowship, good food and good fun.  It was great!
