Buttery apples with a crispy topping

| 5 1⁄2 | Quart | apples (sliced) |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | sugar |
| 3 | Tablespoon | flour |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | brown sugar (for topping) |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | cinnamon (for topping) |
| 1⁄4 | Cup | flour (for topping) |
| 1⁄4 | Cup | butter (for topping) |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | oats (quick; for topping) |
Mix together sugar and flour; coat apples. Place in a greased 8-inch pan.
Topping:
Mix together sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter with pastry blender. Add quick oats; mix. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 40–45 minutes.
