Tender apples, and crunchy nuts are the base for this delicious, chewy dish.

| 3⁄4 | Cup | sugar |
| 1 | Cup | evaporated milk |
| 3⁄4 | Cup | flour |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | cinnamon |
| 1⁄4 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | Teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | nuts (chopped) |
| 1 | Cup | raw apples (chopped) |
| 1 | Tablespoon | sugar (for topping) |
| 1 | Teaspoon | cinnamon (for topping) |
Beat egg until light. Add vanilla, sugar, and milk gradually. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add nuts and apples. Put into an 8 x 8 pan. Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.
