Barley flour adds a hearty texture to these simple biscuits

| 1 | Cup | barley flour |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 2 | Teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1 | egg | |
| 2 | Tablespoon | oil |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | milk |
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together into a bowl. In a small contrainer beat together egg, oil and milk. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix lightly. Dough should be soft, but thick enough to hold its shape. If needed, add a little additional barley flour. drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 12-15 minutes.
