Ingredients

1 1⁄2Cupflour
3⁄4Cupbrown sugar
1⁄2Cupbutter
1Teaspoonsalt
1Packagebutterscotch pieces (6 ounces)
2Tablespoonbutter
1⁄2Cupcorn syrup
2Cupcashews (and peanuts, or mixed nuts)

Instructions

Crust:

Mix together flour, brown sugar, ½ cup butter, and 1 teaspoon of salt and put in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350º.

Filling:

Heat butterscotch pieces, 2 tablespoons of butter, and corn syrup. Pour over crust, sprinkle with cashews, peanuts, or mixed nuts. Cool and cut into squares.
