| 3⁄4 | Cup | brown sugar |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | butter |
| 1 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | Package | butterscotch pieces (6 ounces) |
| 2 | Tablespoon | butter |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | corn syrup |
| 2 | Cup | cashews (and peanuts, or mixed nuts) |
Crust:
Mix together flour, brown sugar, ½ cup butter, and 1 teaspoon of salt and put in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350º.
Filling:
Heat butterscotch pieces, 2 tablespoons of butter, and corn syrup. Pour over crust, sprinkle with cashews, peanuts, or mixed nuts. Cool and cut into squares.
