Cheddar Crackers

Description

Tasty crackers that are full of zest and flavor. They are a fantastic snack between meals.

Ingredients

1Cupbutter (softened)
1⁄2Cupcheese (finely shredded chedder)
3Ouncecream cheese (room temperature)
1Tablespoonsun-dried toma (minced)
2Teaspoonbasil
2Teaspoon (Metric)garlic powder

Instructions

 

  • In a large bowl, beat together butter and cheeses.
  • Stir in flour, sun-dried tomato, salt and spices until well-blended.
  • Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Divide dough in half.
  • Cover and chill for an hour or so—just to firm it up a bit.
  • Roll out to about 1/8” thick and cut into shapes.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown.
  • Sprinkle with coarse salt if desired. Cool and store.

Notes

 

  • This dough can be made ahead of time and frozen until ready to bake.
