Ingredients

1⁄2Cupturkey or beef bacon (cooked and crumbled)
2Clovegarlic (minced)
1⁄2Cupchopped onion
4Tablespoonbutter (or margarine)
4Tablespoonall-purpose flour
2 1⁄2Cupmilk
6 medium potatoes
1⁄2Teaspoonsalt
1⁄2TeaspoonMrs. Dash
3⁄4Cupcheese (shredded or cubed)
1Ouncechicken boullion cube

Instructions

For sauce, cook onion and garlic in butter unitl tender. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash to taste. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Add cheese and blend until melted. Remove from heat. Place half the sliced potatoes in a greased 2-qt. casserole or a 9x13 pan. Cover with half the sauce. Repeat layers. Bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Uncover, bake 30 minutes more or until potatoes are tender. Let stand 5 minutes.

Notes

You may omit chicken boullion, Mrs. Dash, and bacon if desired.
