| 1⁄2 | Cup | butter |
| 4 | Tablespoon | cocoa |
| 1 | Teaspoon | vanilla |
| 3 1⁄4 | Cup | powdered sugar |
Bring water, ½ cup of butter, and cocoa to a boil. Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, flour, vegetable oil, salt and vanilla in order given. Grease and flour sheet cake pan. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes. Ice with icing as soon as it is done.
Brink 6 tablespoons of milk, ½ cup butter, 4 tablespoons of cocoa and 1 teaspoon of vanilla to a boil. Add 3¼ cups of powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.
