Ingredients

2 onions (thinly sliced)
1Clovegarlic (finely chopped)
1⁄4Cupbutter
6Cupwater
8Teaspoonbeef boullion (or 8 boullion cubes)
  French bread
  sliced cheese

Instructions

In large saucepan, cook onion and garlic in butter until soft, stirring often. Add water and boullion and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Serve in ovenproof soup bowls. Top each serving with a slice of French berad and a slice of cheese. Broil until cheese melts. Serve immediately.

Notes

Recipe Note: No ovenproof bowl? Then toast the bread and microwave to melt the cheese.
