A cheesy, delicious version of hamburger casserole

| 1 | Pound | ground beef |
| 1 | Clove | garlic |
| 1⁄8 | Teaspoon | pepper |
| 1 | Package | cream cheese (3 oz) |
| 1 | Cup | sour cream |
| 2 | Can | tomato sauce (8 oz. each) |
| 1 | Package | noodles |
| 6 | green onions (chopped; can use 1 large onion instead) | |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | cheddar cheese (shredded) |
Brown ground beef. Add pepper, garlic, and tomato sauce. Simmer. Cook noodles and drain. Chop green onions with tops. Mix with sour cream and cream cheese. Layer noodles, cheese mixture, and hamburger mixture in a casserole dish. Make 2 layers. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350°.
Variation - omit tomato sauce and sour cream, cream cheese. Replace with 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 c. of Velveeta cheese and 1/2 can of milk. Omit cheddar cheese. Mix all together and bake for 40 minutes at 350°
