This summer favorite is filled with fresh sweet peaches and fluffy pastry.

Ingredients

5Tablespoonbutter
2 1⁄2Cuppeaches (sliced)
3⁄4Cupsugar
1⁄4Teaspoonground cinnamon
1⁄2Cupsugar
3⁄4Cupflour
1⁄4Teaspoonsalt
2Teaspoonbaking powder
1⁄2Cupmilk
1Teaspoonvanilla

Instructions

Melt butter in 1½-quart baking dish. Set aside. Combine peaches, sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside. Make batter by combining remaining ingredients in order given. Mix well. Pour batter into baking dish that has butter in it. Do not stir. Add peaches. Do not stir. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

May substitute blackberries or blueberries for peaches.
