A classic German dish...hearty in flavor and in portion!

| 1 | Pound | beef bacon (or turkey bacon) |
| 1 | medium onion | |
| 1 | jar sauerkraut (32 oz.) | |
| 1 | Can | stewwed tomatoes (or crushed tomatoes, 14.5 oz.) |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | sugar |
Chop bacon and onion and fry until browned. Drain sauerkraut and tomatoes. Save juice. Mix bacon, onion, sauerkraut, tomatoes, and sugar. Add a little bit of the juice if mixture seems a little dry. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until hot.
