A small and tender spice cookie

| 2 | Cup | brown sugar |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | molasses |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 4 | Cup | flour |
| 4 | Teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | Teaspoon | cloves |
| 2 | Teaspoon | cinnamon |
| 2 | Teaspoon | ginger |
Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add molasses and eggs. Sift flour, soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger and add to molasses mixture. Form into balls and press with sugared glass. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
