Mmm sweet deliciousness! A sugar cookie sure to please.

| 1 | Cup | shortening |
| 2 | Cup | sugar |
| 4 | large eggs | |
| 2 | Teaspoon | vanilla |
| 2 | Tablespoon | milk |
| 4 1⁄2 | Cup | flour |
| 2 | Teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1 | Teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1 | Teaspoon | salt |
Cream together shortening and sugar. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; set aside. In 2-cup liquid measure, mix together eggs, vanilla, and milk. Add to the creamed mixture and dry ingredients alternately with liquid ingredients until well blended. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on greased baking sheet. Press to 1/4-inch thickness with sugared press or bottom of a drinking glass. Bake at 300 for 12 minutes. These cookies are very light when done; do not overbake.
