Ingredients

2Poundlean hamburger
1 large onion (chopped)
1 large bell pepper (chopped)
4 ribs celery (chopped)
2Cantomatoes (14 ounces, mashed, not drained)
2Canred kidney beans (14 ounces)
2Canwater
1Cupketchup
  salt (to taste)
  pepper (to taste)

Instructions

Combine hamburger, bell pepper, onion, and celery in a heavy skillet. Brown and drain well. In a large pot, bring tomatoes, beans, and water to a boil. Stir often. Add hamburger, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Stir well, reduce heat to simmer. Cook for 30-45 minutes. Serve over rice with crackers or corn bread.
