A simple one dish pasta casserole

| 2 | Cup | pasta (elbow macaroni style) |
| 6 | Tablespoon | onion |
| 2 | Tablespoon | vegetable oil |
| 2 | Pound | ground beef |
| 1 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 1⁄8 | Teaspoon | pepper |
| 1 | Teaspoon | garlic salt |
| 3 | Cup | tomatoes (cooked) |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | chili powder |
| 1 | Cup | cheddar cheese (grated) |
Cook macaroni until tender. Rinse in cold water. Cook onions in oil, add ground beef, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Cook until beef is browned. Add tomatoes, macaroni, and chili powder. Place in 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 375° for 30 minutes.
If using this for Sabbath, cover and refrigerate assembled dish. bake for 10-15 minutes longer. Also, top with cheese just before baking.
