| 1⁄2 | Cup | butter (or margarine) |
| 1 | Cup | flour |
| 1 | egg (beaten) | |
| 3⁄4 | Cup | brown sugar |
| 1 | Teaspoon | vanilla |
| 1 | Tablespoon | butter (or margarine, melted) |
| pecans (chopped) |
Dough:
Mix together cream cheese, 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of flour into a dough; chill two hours. Press into muffin tins.
Filling:
Beat together egg, brown sugar, vanilla and butter until foamy. Fill shells 2/3 full. Sprinkle tops with chopped pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before removing.
