Simple, classic, potatoes!

| 5 | potatoes | |
| 2 | Tablespoon | shortening |
| 2 | Tablespoon | butter |
Cut potatoes in 1/2 in- slices. Melt butter and brush shallow pan with part of the butter. Arrange potatoes in rows in a pan. Do not overlap. Brush with remaining fat. Bake in oven at 450 for 30-45 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Turn once during baking. Sprinkle with salt.
