Soft and slightly chewy, this is a delicious peanut butter bar.

| 1⁄2 | Cup | butter |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | white sugar |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | brown sugar |

| 1⁄3 | Cup | peanut butter |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1⁄4 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | vanilla |
| 1 | Cup | flour |
| 1 | Cup | quick oats |
| 1 | Package | chocolate chips (6 ounces) |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | powdered sugar |
| 1⁄4 | Cup | peanut butter |
| 3 | Tablespoon | milk |
Cream butter, and sugars together. Blend in egg, peanut butter, soda, salt, and vanilla. Stir in flour and then oats. Press into a 9 x 12 pan, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. As soon as they come out of the oven sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let stand 5 minutes and then mix together ¼ cup peanut butter, ½ cup powdered sugar, and 3 tablespoons of milk. Spread over top. Makes 2 dozen.
