Ingredients

1Cuprisotto rice
1Teaspoonoil (canola)
2Cupmilk
3Cupwater
1⁄4Cupof raisins (or less)
2 cinnamon sticks
  honey or maple syrup

Instructions

In a saucepan place milk, water, and cinnamon sticks. Heat over low heat. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, place rice and oil over medium-low heat. Allow rice to become white without scorching. Add 1/2 c. of the milk mixture to rice. Turn heat down a bit and place a lid over the rice. Allow the milk/water mixture to be absorbed by the rice, adjusting heat if needed. Place raisins in rice mixture. Continue to add milk/water 1/2 c. at a time until rice has absorbed all the liquid. It usually takes 30-45 minutes for the rice to completely absorb liquid. Discard the cinnamon sticks. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup to taste.
