A simple biscuit made with whole-wheat flour and honey

| 1 | Teaspoon | baking soda |
| 2 | Cup | buttermilk |
| 2 | Package | yeast |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | water (lukewarm) |
| 1 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 3⁄4 | Cup | vegetable oil |
| 1⁄3 | Cup | honey |
| 5 | Cup | whole-wheat flour (can use up to 6 cups or mix 3 c whole wheat with 2-3 c. white flour) |
Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Pour all together. Add salt, oil, and honey. Gradually stir in flour. Stir in enough flour until stiff enough to cut into biscuits. You do not have to knead or allow time for rising. Store in refrigerator in tightly covered bowl. Use as needed. bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes.
