| 2 | Pound | asparagus |
| 2 | Teaspoon | olive oil |
| 2 | Clove | garlic (optional) |
| 1⁄4 | Teaspoon | salt |
| sesame seeds (optional) |
Preheat oven to 475. Lightly coat large baking sheet with nonstick spray. Discard woody ends of asparagus. Arrange stalks in a single layer on sheet. Combine oil and garlic. Drizzle over asparagus. Sprinkle with salt. Roast for 5 minutes. Shake the pan to redistribute the oil. Roast for 3-5 minutes longer or until tender.
Variation-You may roast without garlic or sesame seeds, or you may omit garlic and sprinkle with sesame seeds instead.
