A traditional recipe for Salisbury steak

| 1⁄2 | Cup | quick oats (uncooked) |
| 2 | Tablespoon | ketchup |

| 1 | Tablespoon | worcestershire sauce |
| 1 | Tablespoon | onion (chopped) |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | salt |

| 1 | Can | water (from the mushroom soup can) |
Combine beef, egg, oats, ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt and pepper. From into oval patties and pat lightly with flour. Brown patties in butter in large frying pan; pout off grease. Combine soup and water; pour over patties. Cover and simmer for 45 mintues.
