Ingredients

1 1⁄2Poundground beef
1Tablespoonfresh cilantro (or 1 tsp. dried)
3⁄4Teaspoonchili powder (to taste)
1⁄2Teaspoonpaprika
1Teaspooncumin powder
1Teaspoonminced garlic

Instructions

Add cilantro, chili powder, paprika, cumin, and garlic to meat and brown. When meat is done, drain well. In a bowl layer corn chips or use the contoured taco shell bowls like you find in a Mexican restaurant. Layer meat mixture and all other ingredients in any order you want as long as there is a cold layer between the lettuce and the meat. Once assembled serve immediately.

Salad and toppings

6 c. fresh lettuce, shredded or torn

3/4 c. diced tomatoes

3/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 c. sliced black olives

1/4 c. finely chopped onions

3 T. imitation bacon bits, optional

1/4 c. guacamole

1/4 c. sour cream
