Sweet and crisp apples are the base of this delicious salad.

| 1 | Tablespoon | flour |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | sugar |
| 1 | Can | crushed pineapple (8 ounces) |
| 2 | Tablespoon | apple cider |
| 1 | egg | |
| 1 | Carton | cool whip (8 ounces) |
| 2 | Granny Smith apples | |
| 1 | Cup | salted dry-roasted peanuts (chopped) |
Set aside ½ cup peanuts. Mix flour, pineapple, apple cider, and egg in saucepan. Stir over medium heat until thick. Refrigerate until cool. Fold in Cool Whip, apples, and ½ cup of peanuts into pineapple mixture. Sprinkle with remaining peanuts. Can be doubled.
