Ingredients

1⁄2Poundlean hamburger (or leftover roast beef, chopped)
1 large onion (chopped)
3 ribs celery (chopped)
4 carrots (cut in 1/2 in. slices5)
5 beef boullion cubes
5Cupwater
1Cangarden peas (15 oz.)
1Cantomatoes
1 bay leaf
1⁄2Teaspoongarlic powder
1⁄2Teaspoonoregano
  salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

In a heavy skillet combine beef, onion, celery, and carrots. Brown and drain if needed. Add water, boullion cubes, peas, tomatoes, and seasonings to a large soup pot. Add hamburger mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer; stir occasionally and simmer for one hour. Remove bay leaf before serving.
