Military Service and War

We need to understand what our calling, where our allegiance lies and what it is that we must do when we must choose between two masters - citizens of this land, or citizens before God.

-If the Christian cannot serve the military service, who will defend the country against the external attacks?
-What the difference between the police and the military service?
-In the King David life wee see the connection with the military service.
-To preached the Gospel we needed the security to travel and if the country was not defended by military forces who will do?
I think the military forces it is not to takes life but to defend the territory against any enemy attacks.
Also some governments uses their military forces to invading others countries, and in this situation the military kill peoples (the examples:the USA presence in Iraq and Afghanistan).
I think if the Christian serve the military service they cannot accept to be integrated in invasion forces.

Having served 13 years of military before I was separated from it many things happened. First I to what most of Christiandom call "Saved" although no one is saved until He returns. Second I served in units that was in a combat, although units I was in deployed. The only thing I shot was paper and pop-up targets. I volunteered to go into combat, and wasn't allowed. I didn't fit because I didn't use any kind of language, I didn't drink strong drink (including beer) and I didn't talk about or chase after women (single or married). Other things happened to include a warning in scripture not to enter into a contract that would put you opposed to God's ways. I was honorably separated from military service because I just didn't fit. I had a breech of contract in my separation, had I fought it, I would have still been in when the World Trade Center was attacked (my mother having an office there before she retired). I have my health, no major problems with feet, legs, or back. Some of those I served with lost their life, had disabilities, looked 10-15 years older than I did/do. I know God protected and took care of me while in service. It is easy to say trust God when things are fine. Fight the good fight of faith means to fight our inner feelings and thoughts to what seems the right way and trust God not being presumptious.
