What is the basic notion and belief the Church of God has it relates to politics and voting? Should a church take a political stance? Are the man-made systems of government what we should be focused on or the Kingdom of God?

Hello Grace, I listened also and heard Brandon say several times that "we don't get involved in politics." Sometimes, in a meeting, the speaker asks how members listening feel about a certain idea and the members raise their hands to show how they feel. That is voting, in my opinion. But politics is decidedly different! I'm not sure about "being legally bound to vote." Perhaps we could talk about that. I definitely do not think that voting is "the unpardonable sin!" (Maybe we could talk about that.) Finally, I am in agreement with you that "not being involved in picking up a sword (or gun!) is a absolute way to live." Skip Miller

Hello Ray, That is a pretty straightforward question and one easily answered. I rarely Want to pay more taxes! But if I still had kids in public school & I was convinced that the district was going to use that tax money appropriately, I might choose to. Those are both big "ifs." It is not forbidden to pay taxes. Romans 13: 7 Skip Miller

I listened. So, I heard you say a number of times that true Christians don't vote. Every thing else you spoke I agree. So, is it your own opinion that true Christians don't vote? All those who live around the world and are legally bound to vote are committing the unpardonable sin? Not being involved in picking up a sword, is a absolute way to live.

If the local school district asks me if I want to pay more property tax, should I answer yes, or no?
