A poem by William Ross Wallace says, "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world."

There are many examples of the influence of our mother in the lives of each of us. The potential of every child depends greatly on the love and effort of the mother to teach right and good values. Those teachings come through love and devotion as well as through wise sayings and corrections along the pathway of life.

Paul recognized the importance of the faith of Timothy’s mother and grandmother in the character, knowledge and ability that Timothy had (2 Timothy 1:5). Mothers shape the ambitions and abilities of their children. Her love is not selfish and is always directed toward the well-being of her children. When her work is well done, her children call her blessed and her husband praises her (Proverbs 31:28). It is noted that one of the greatest gifts a man can give to his children is to love their mother. Love the mothers in your life, and cherish the role if you are a mother!
