Not only does time seem to speed up and the years fly by, but our health problems also seem to accelerate as well. The young do not seem to notice the fast-flying years. God inspired a wise man to note that the time to remember God starts in our youth, before the difficult days of old age come (Ecclesiastes 12:1-2).

Contentment in old age lies in being satisfied with our accomplishments, our children and perhaps children's children (Psalm 128:6). It is so much better to look back upon a life of accomplishments and good deeds than to carry regrets into old age. When life has been lived well, honor and respect from others soften the last years of our lives. Now is the time to prepare for that hill.
