The reality is that we are limited in all we do with the strength that we can muster for the doing. We cannot struggle beyond our strength, no matter how much effort we use. We possess a physical strength and a mental strength. They differ, but are somewhat entwined. There are occasions where our body tells us to stop, but the mind drives us a little further. Paul stated that he could do all things through Christ who strengthened him (Philippians 4:13). Samson was given special strength by God. But the common man cannot expect that.

We can go further than we thought we could. Our mind can push our bodies to do more than we thought possible. Wise people use their strength carefully and remember to refill the tank from time to time. We rest when needed and know our measure of strength. That is where wisdom lies.
