28,000 New Mothers Get GN

During the last fiscal year an intensive effort was made to reach first-time mothers with the gospel message through American Baby magazine's “Especially for Mothers” co-op mailer program.

A four-color subscription brochure titled “Are You Prepared to Teach Values?” was mailed to thousands of new mothers. As a result, more than 28,000 young people (median age 28) were added to the Good News subscription files.

Also, during the current fiscal year an updated bifold brochure, featuring an attractive new cover photo of a mother holding a baby, will be mailed to 2,750,000 first-time mothers.

And another new brochure offering our booklet Marriage and Family will be given to an additional 500,000 young families in January 2007. These brochures will be inserted in American Baby's “Parents/Healthy Kids” sampling pack distributed at pediatricians' offices.

Joining the 28,000 young families already on the file from last year's campaign, we expect to add up to 30,000 more youthful subscribers as a result of these two promotional efforts.
