"To Vote or Not to Vote"

I thank David Treybig for his article "To Vote or Not to Vote" in the United News, September/October 2006. This question doesn't come up in the United States only. It is good that this article was written.

In Philippians 3:20 we read, "For our citizenship is in heaven."

An ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) does not involve himself in the political affairs of that nation.

As Mr. Treybig rightly put it in his article, God removes kings and raises up kings (Daniel 2:21; Romans 13:1), so we have to pray whenever it is time for elections in our various countries, and leave the rest up to God.

Dress for Services

I just want you to know that I really appreciate the series of articles that you published regarding femininity, including the latest article by Richard Pinelli about the proper way to dress in Church services. Those articles are very helpful!

Glimmer of Hope in Iraq

Thanks to you for the useful magazine of understanding, The Good News, which I receive unregularly because of the bad security. The post office closed for more than two months. In spite of this bloodshed and sectarian civil war in Baghdad's streets, we have a glimmer of hope. Would you please, sir, send me [more] free booklets?

"Bearing the Cost on Our Behalf"

Thank you very much for the book Jesus Christ: The Real Story and the magazine. I found them very interesting as well as spiritual. Today everything has its price. But you provide your service on a complimentary basis by bearing the cost on our behalf. I appreciate that very much.

"Never Give Up!"

I'm a 17-year-old boy. Thank you very much for the books. At first I thought you wouldn't send them to me, but I was wrong. Although the place where I live is so far, you really sent them to me. When I received them, I was so happy.

The books are interesting. They contain the truths that I need to know. Here in Myanmar I can't get books like these. So please continue sending them to me. I really need them for my life.

All of you are doing the great work that God wants you all to do. Keep doing! Never give up! You all are really going to get the great rewards from God. God loves all of you very much.

— Yengon, Myanmar
