VT Online Traffic Grows

The traffic on the Vertical Thought Web site continued to increase in 2007. From approximately 5,000 hits a month in January 2006, the number increased to approximately 22,000 a month in January 2007 and to over 29,000 in January 2008. Also, 4,150 people have subscribed to Vertical News —a monthly e-mail announcing new issues, introducing online articles and providing timely commentary—a 246 percent increase over two years ago.

Most of this online traffic increase is due to advertising on Google and Yahoo.

U.S. Reader's Digest Ad Exceeds Expectations

The ad in the April 2007 U.S. Reader's Digest offering a subscription to The Good News and a copy of the booklet The Middle East in Bible Prophecy has exceeded expectations.

Total responses at the end of January 2008 were 35,376, and last year's ads in American Baby and Parents magazines have brought in 12,406 and 6,177 respectively. This totals 53,959 new GN subscribers and booklet readers.

Along with the low insertion cost, we also continue to receive responses to Reader's Digest print advertisements for years afterward. GN subscribers who come onto our file directly from a Reader's Digest ad are consistently among the most likely to renew their GN subscription every two years.
