This week's taping of three new programs highlight the diversity of Beyond Today Media in its coverage of vital topics for today's audience.
[Darris McNeely] This week brings the Beyond Today media crew together for the taping for three different programs here on our set. I am going to be doing a program that is entitled, "The Four Horsemen of Revelation." We're going through Revelation chapter 6 and talk about the four horsemen commonly known of the Apocalypse, but the first four seals that are opened there by Jesus Christ in that fascinating prophecy will be the basis of the program to help us to understand exactly perhaps where we are in prophecy and the significance of that prophecy and the entire end time scenario of God's plan.
[Steve Myers] Yeah, I think that's one of the unique things about the program is that these are things that impact your life. And how do the four horsemen impact what you do, how you think, the way that you view the world? That's an important thing to think about. And the other programs we'll be doing will concentrate on the same types of things, but different subjects. The subject that I'm going to be covering is pornography. How do you stop an addiction to pornography? It's an issue that has engulfed our world, and so oftentimes people ignore it. People try to cover it up. They don't talk about it, and yet it is so prevalent it's become an epidemic. So we're going to talk about that on the program. We're going to interview a doctor about porn addiction and how it affects you and how it impacts your life and how it can change your whole outlook. And so it's an important subject that I think will be a vital one especially when it relates to our Christian walk and how we live in a different kind of world in controlling our thoughts. And so I think it will be quite an important program.
[Darris McNeely] And then Gary Petty will be doing a program on near-death experiences in explaining that very fascinating phenomenon that people claim to have when they are at the point of death, or as they think, and their life ceases and they have a vision of the afterlife and then come back to this life to relate exactly what happens. We've all heard stories about that. What does the Bible say? That's where Gary's going to be focusing his content and explaining what the Bible says to help us understand that phenomenon and that reality of what people at least experience and think they experience. And what does it really mean? What does it teach us? More importantly what does the Bible teach us? And I think that's going to be a fascinating program that will also help people to understand exactly what the truth of God tells us in living our daily lives.
[Steve Myers] And that of course should change our perspective. And that's what God's word is all about, having a biblical perspective on how we look at life.
[Darris McNeely] Which is what Beyond Today programming and all of our media content is intent upon doing. It's like it says in Psalms 119:105 Psalms 119:105Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
American King James Version×, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." What we do on Beyond Today media is endeavor to bring God's word into our everyday life, adding meaning and significance and helping us to understand how we are to walk in this life today and on into the future.
That's BT Media, BT Daily, join us next time.
