God has a plan for your life. He has you right where He wants you.

Transcript

[Steve Myers] Awhile back, I was going through a few things, and a friend of mine told me, "God has you right where He wants you." And that kind of hit me. And I thought, "Well, what do you mean?" And He mentioned, "We'll read what it says over in 1 Corinthians 12." So I went over there. And in that particular passage, it talks about God's various gifts. And it zeroes in in verse 7, talking about the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one to profit all. And as I thought about that very thing, it helped me to realize, you know, God has me right where He wants me. He's given me gifts. In fact, this whole section of Scripture starts with that very fact, that God gives all of us, everyone gifts. In fact, that's where He starts by equipping us, His people, with various gifts. And so, those gifts enable us to function within His body, within the church the way that He wants.

And it's interesting that in that passage, it talks about each one, not just one individual, not just our leaders, but everyone in the body of Christ has been given gifts. Nobody's left out. You've got one or maybe even more gifts. And God has such an amazing variety of different gifts that He pours out upon us. So in that sense, He's got us right where he wants us. He's put us right into position so that we can accomplish the work of the church, we can contribute to what God wants His church to do, our part in the body because we all have a part to play.

We all have a share. And so, God gives us those opportunities to utilize the gifts that He's given to us so that we can help, we can show that God is working in this world. And you think about the activities that God can work through. We can be the hands of Christ as we serve others, as we help proclaim liberty, as we release the captives, we show that God's way really works. And when we release people from prison, the prison's of doubt and anxiety, and the difficulties that we face, we can be a shining example of God's Spirit at work.

And so when we think of what God is doing in our life, don't forget, we all have a part to play, and God's called every one of us to do our share.

So think about this. Where has God placed you? What gift has He given you to help shine His way and His light to the world? Maybe just think, God's got you right where He wants you.

That's BT Daily. We'll see you next time.
