[Steve Myers] Another important key to understanding the Bible is to read the book from cover to cover. There's so many wonderful programs out there that will help you read through the Bible, read through the Bible in a year, read through the Bible in a year-and-a-half. It goes through topical sections of the Bible, but it gets you through every section. And so, find a program that works for you, where you'll read through the Bible right from every word, right from the beginning to the end, or in whatever order you can, read through all the sections because then what begins to happen is you see the big picture. You get a real feel and a familiarity with what is in the book. You won't be taken off guard by saying, "Where is that in the Bible?" So you'll get a better perspective that will help you get rid of any preconceived ideas that you might have, maybe wrong understandings about sections of the Bible. You'll really get a handle on those things. And so you can look through and as you read, you'll find the truth about so many doctrinal subjects as you read through the entire Bible. With so many helps out there, it will make it easy. You just have to dedicate yourself to making it happen.

In fact, if you go on our website, ucg.org, we even have a Bible Commentary that will help you through various sections of the Bible, so you can get insight, you can have a sneak peek at the depth of meaning of Scripture. So it can help you to truly understand because that's really where it's at, understanding the Word of God. Christ probably said it best. Matthew 4:4, He said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." And, of course, these are God's words. It's the word that He inspired. So read every word and you'll find that is a key to understanding the Bible.

That's BT Daily, we'll see you next time.
