Sometimes we think that if we just try harder we will be successful. There is another path!

Transcript

[Steve Myers] That fly I saw the other day buzzing all around me was nonstop trying to get out of my house and break through the window pane, couldn't do it but he kept trying over and over and over again. And another thing that that reminded me of is, yeah, I kind of fixated on this because it was really bugging me, that's a bad pun too. But you know what trying harder didn't give that fly any success whatsoever. And I know I've confused that in my life, just by trying harder somehow I'm going to succeed just because of the effort I put in. But that is a fallacy especially when it comes to spiritual success. We wanna be right with God, we've gotta have a whole different perspective, it's got to be a whole change of mind, a whole change of not just trying harder. In Romans chapter 12, we're told a little bit about that fallacy of just trying harder it's gotta be entirely different. Romans 12:2 here's what it says, "Don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

We gotta change our mind, we gotta change our thinking, we gotta change our attitude, our approach. So it's not just trying harder it's gotta be doing it God's way. Yes, trying hard is good but we've got to make sure we're doing it God's way with a different perspective with a spiritual mindset that becomes most critical. So next time you see a fly buzzing around don't just think about trying harder but let's try rethinking things and applying God's way. Then we'll find the true way to spiritual success.

That's BT Daily, we'll see you next time.
