A verse in the Psalms helps us think bigger.

Transcript

[Steve Myers] It's all a matter of perspective. You may have heard the story about the little boy wanted to ask God a question. So, he asked God, "God, what is a million years like to you?" God answered the little boy, "Well, that's just like a second to you." Then the little boy asked God, "Well, God, what's a million dollars like to you?" And God said to the little boy, "Well, that's like a penny." Now, the little boy thought about that for a moment, he said, "God, do you think I could have one of those pennies?" And God said, "Yes. Just wait a second." It is all a matter of perspective. When you think about God's perspective overall, it changes the way we see our situation, doesn't matter what we're faced with. When we're faced with difficulties, no matter what the challenges, no matter how we feel, no matter how great the situation may be, no matter how dire the situation may be, when we recognize God's perspective, it does change everything.

There's a beautiful passage in Psalm 100, one of the most famous Psalms in the Bible. In Psalm 100:5, it gives us a frame of mind and a perspective we should always try to maintain. Here is what it says, "For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Keep that in mind. Let's make this our perspective, no matter what our situation may be. And when we do that, we can look to God, we can pray to Him, we can talk to Him, we can listen to Him, and we can recognize the fact no matter what He'll always be there for us.
