We all have access to the solution to panic and fear in these uncertain times.

Transcript

[Steve Myers] We live in difficult times. Certainly, times of stress, there’s anxiety, some are even panicking over the Coronavirus. And yet, when we turn to God, he gives us a way that we can deal with the challenges that we’re facing. We can begin to cope by using what I think is the greatest coping mechanism. What’s God given to us?

Well, He’s given us His Word. He’s given us His Word. And in Psalms 119, this is the longest Psalm in the Bible, we find in Verse 105, God tells us very clearly His Word. “Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.” So, when we’re faced with the darkness of what will happen, what’s going to occur, what’s the future hold, we can turn to God’s Word, and we can connect with Him. And by devoting time in His Word, we can find hope.

I mean, how do you fill your mind with hope? Look to God’s Word. In fact, we can find very clearly, 1 Peter 5:7 1 Peter 5:7Casting all your care on him; for he cares for you.
American King James Version×
says, “Cast all your fears, all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

You see, passages like that can help us to have a better perspective, to ease up that stress and fear, and anxiety when we recognize that greatest coping mechanism of all time. Turn to the Word of God.

That’s BT Daily. We’ll see you next time.

Hey, thanks for the reminder. We do not have to live in fear. I am a physician MD and a scientist. When I look at all of the data something is not right. I have lived through 3 pandemics. 1968 we lost 100000 in us. 1 million worldwide. 2009 pandemic h1n1. We lost 12500 in us. No emergency until June America was not shutdown. This pandemic has shutdown schools and businesses. We only have 14600 cases and 215 deaths. No where close to previous pandemics. I am worried about a severe self imposed recession. This might be under category of rumors of pestilence. Remember we loose average of 36000 to influenza each year since 2010. I think when you fall asleep it does not make a difference if among the 215 or 36000. We all need to take a deep breath quit watching fear channels and pray to God and Jesus Christ our savior. This is not the “Big One”. Much worse will come and we must continue to focus on being righteous children of God Yahweh.
